Lightroom Edits of Pre Shoot

For my first edit cropped out the builders who were in the original photo. I then made the decreased the amount of saturation, making the image black and white, and increasing the clarity. This made the numbers on the pillars stand out better. I increased the amount of black to make the dark colours bolder. I think this reflects the photographers I looked at because on David Gutierrez's website, he has a lot of images in black and white. I also feel like the black and white colouring really makes the architecture stand out. This was taken at Eaton Square, near Victoria train station.

This photo was taken in Lancashire Court, a small alley way I found near Avery Row. I really liked how the shops all stuck out from the walls, and how at the end there are three hanging lights which I think frame the image well. I began editing this by cropping out part of a shop that was on the left. This meant I was left with the one main shop in the frame. I used the adjustment brush to increase the sharpness of the black sign that is hanging from the shop. I then decreased the vibrance of the whole image and increased the saturation, which highlighted certain aspects of the photograph.

For this, I increased the saturation and sharpness on the MOD sign to make them both stand out. I did this by using the adjustment brush. I also did the same across the pub signs and the burger shop, to increase their clarity.

When I did my recreation shoot I walked past this sign and said to myself that when I did my pre-shoot, I would come again and take a photo of it, so I did. Bit of background information; this KFC is located in Fenchurch and is in an underground location.
I edited this by cropping out a bit of the image, and using the adjustment brush to increase the clarity, saturation and brightness of the 'OPEN' flashing sign.

I decided to edit this photo again because I wanted to see a various ways I could edit this image. I cropped the image and converted it to black and white, which makes it look more dramatic. I experienced with the brightness and the black colours to create an interesting a dynamic edited image.

For this edit, I played around with the temperature. By using this tool, I got to create a photo that looks slightly like an image in sepia.

For this photo I decreased the saturation on the whole image and then I used the adjustment brush to highlight only the yellow lines on the floor. I then made the saturation +100 on the yellow colouring to make it stand out more. I like how this photo has leading lines and symmetry, although I do feel as though I could have made sure it was a bit more centre, as I can tell from the ceiling that I wasn't in the right place to get an even photo on both sides of the train. I also like how the this image uses leading lines as it makes the image more interesting and David Gutierrez uses leading lines in his photos.
